Fans should be prepared to see Lindsay as they never have on Glee — in nude scenes. “There’s a lot of explicit content” in the play, she says. “I rarely believe in exposing yourself for film or television or shows. But in this show, it’s important. It’s part of the story. [Otherwise], you’re not going to get that loss of innocence. [Today] we learn from a very young age what sex is, and what it isn’t. On movies and television, we know what people’s bodies look like. It’s no secret. But [back] then, it was. They didn’t know what each other looked like without clothing on.”

Apparently the musical is so jaw-dropping that her number one fan — her mother — might only be able to handle seeing it twice. “She’s bringing my birth mom to come see it later in April,” says the actress, who is adopted.

However, Lindsay admits that Spring Awakening might be harder for her father. “My poor dad,” she sighs. “My mom is seeing it without my dad…so she can break him in to what he’s actually going to see. They both really have no idea. I think any father who’s had a daughter play Wendla is not so much like, ‘Oh, there’s my kid!’ It’s like, ‘There’s my kid, her shirt’s coming off. There’s a guy on top of her, and I’m watching it.’”

“My dad will probably just cover his face and be looking down at his shoes. He’s going to need like a blizzard from Dairy Queen afterwards: ‘Let’s go get some ice cream. That scene was awful.’ [But] he’s going to love the music!”

lindsay’s such a family girl and i love her all the more for that! i can just imagine her dad and what faces he’s going to make when he watches it. same goes for her big brothers, especially football man heath, who is so so so supportive of lil sis in everything. :)

The subplot with Kurt and Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), and its introduction of Harmony (Lindsay Pearce), garnered praise for all three performers. The musical performances were generally well-received, and the “Anything Goes” / “Anything You Can Do” mash-up featuring Pearce was widely acclaimed.

The introduction of Harmony and Sugar garnered critical praise. VanDerWerff wrote that the former “may be the best new character ever”,TVLine’s Michael Slezak said she was “brillantly bought to life” by Pearce, and Fallon felt that her arrival boded well for the introductions of the other Glee Project finalists. He opined that “she brought, which the best new characters do, fresh and exciting aspects in the show’s established leads”.

The “Anything Goes” / “Anything You Can Do” mash-up was widely acclaimed. Respers France named Pearce’s performance the best moment of the episode, and found that the character positively reminded her of “Glee of old”. The song was also a favorite of Lee’s, who wrote that the actress’ intensity was perfectly matched to the character’s disposition. West, Slezak and Benigno gave the performance an “A”; the former called it an “outstanding rendition” which “felt like it belonged on a big stage or in a big-screen musical”, and the latter two praised her vocal talent, which Benigno deemed unequalled on Glee. Futterman and Bell found Harmony a credible rival to Rachel vocally, and eagerly anticipated future competition between them.

“Teenage Dream” was my favourite shoot so far. I love the song, loved recording it in the studio, and got great feedback from Nikki, which is always a good thing!! The shoot itself was intense, but it was definitely the most comfortable I have felt. I feel like Lindsay and I just clicked. We do have great chemistry on a day-to-day basis, so it wasn’t hard to use that in the shoot. I certainly felt part of it was not really acting! We always have a laugh. Lindsay is incredible. She is SUPER talented, and ended up being one of the nicest people I have ever met. At the beginning I think she was misunderstood by a lot of us, but as the weeks go by, everybody calms down, and our personalities really shine through when we are together. By this stage, we all know when to leave somebody alone if they are annoyed or upset. We know each other’s boundaries. So the real Lindsay is shining through now, and it’s a bright light. I am really the only one with the courage to really annoy her… and trust me, I succeed. She would go hours without talking to me… Hahaha!!! Damian was really focused and in the zone for “Teenage Dream” and I was terrified to be his partner. He was easily one of the best boys in the competition and I didn’t know how I would match him, but he turned out to be a very gracious partner. yeah, damian and lindsay admit they have chemistry and work well together. that’s onscreen and offscreen, according to damian right there. lindsay haters need to back off; damian has said it himself. and their kiss in the end wasn’t a spontaneous one. they planned on it the day before the shoot. it’s all in lindsay’s journal (that journal was also mentioned in twitter), and as she said, damian really knew what he wanted out of the shoot. everything that went on was what the 2 had decided on doing.

also, what’s this thing about people blaming lindsay for cameron’s withdrawal? he was stumped when ryan asked what he would do if he was directed to kiss lea michele, michele being the star of the show he supposedly wants to be in. people, if lindsay indeed was the cause of cameron’s plight and the kiss his reason for quitting, THEN WHY DIDN’T HE QUIT RIGHT AFTER THE KISS? OR MAYBE WHEN HE WAS TALKING TO RYAN WHEN HE WAS IN THE BOTTOM 3 THAT WEEK? and WHY DID HE AGREE TO PICK LINDSAY UP THEN MAKE THOSE SEXY FACES WHILE HOLDING HER UP IN LIKEAVIRGIN?

i commend cameron for leaving on the reason that he realized people have been working and will be working more than he has and will. NOW THAT’S AN HONORABLE DEED
